ഇന്ന് യഥാര്ത്ഥ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ ഉണ്ടോ?
സന്നർഭങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് അടര്തിയെടുക്കുന്ന അർത്ഥസത്യങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് വിലപേശി ലാഭമുണ്ടാക്കാൻ സ്വകാര്യവ്യക്തികൾ/സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്ന വ്യവസായങ്ങൾ എങ്ങിനെ മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ നിർവചനത്തിൽ വരും? വേറൊരു വ്യവസായ പ്രസ്ഥാനം മാത്രമായ ഇന്നത്തെ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ ശരി മാധ്യമമാണോ? കമ്പോളത്തിലെ മറ്റു ഉല്‍പ്പന്നങ്ങള്‍ പോലെയാണ് മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ എങ്കില്‍ അവ എങ്ങനെ നമ്മുടെ ഭരണഘടനയുടെ 19-ആം അനുഛേദം ഉറപ്പുനല്‍കുന്ന അഭിപ്രായപ്രകടനത്തിനുള്ള സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം സംരക്ഷിക്കും? ഒരു പൗരനേക്കാൾ കൂടിയ എന്ത് അവകാശമാണ്, സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമാണ് ഈ വ്യവസായ പ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങൾ അർഹിക്കുന്നത് ? ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെ ശ്രീകോവിലുകളായ നിയമനിര്‍മ്മാണസഭ, പാര്‍ലമെന്റ്‌, ജനപ്രതിനിധിസഭ, നീതിന്യാകോടതിക്‌ള്‍ ഇവയെയെല്ലാം താഴ്‌ത്തിക്കെട്ടി, അവഹേളിചു, പകരം വയ്ക്കുന്ന രീതിയിൽ 365 ദിവസവും 24 മണിക്കൂറും നടക്കുന്ന മാധ്യമവിചാരണ ഒരു രാജ്യത്തിനും ജനതയ്ക്കും മേലുള്ള അധിനിവേശമാണ്. ഇതാണ് മാധ്യമവിചാരണയുടെ മറവിൽ നടക്കുന്ന മാധ്യമാധിനിവേശം. ഇന്ന് ജനാധിപത്യലോകത്തിൽ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ നടത്തുന്നത് ജനാധിപത്യമില്ലാത്ത കുത്തകമാധ്യമവാഴ്ച ഒരു വസ്തുവും പുതുതായി ഉണ്ടാകുന്നില്ല. ഇല്ലാതാകുന്നുമില്ല. ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഉള്ള വസ്തുക്കള്‍ തന്നെ രൂപം മാറി കാലം മാറി പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെടുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതാണല്ലൊ ശാസ്ത്ര തത്വം. മനുഷ്യനെ എന്നും ചൂഷണത്തിനും അടിമത്തത്തിനും വിധേയമാക്കിയിട്ടുള്ള കൊലോനിയലിസത്തിന്‍റെ കാര്‍യ്യവും ഭിന്നമല്ല. കൊളോനിയസമെന്ന അധിനിവേശപ്രസ്ഥാനത്തെ കെട്ടുകെട്ടിച്ച് ചരിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ ചവറ്റുകുട്ടയില്‍ എറിഞ്ഞു എന്ന് നാം ഊറ്റംകൊള്ളുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ അധിനിവേശശക്തികളുടെ തന്നെ സന്തതിയായി ബ്രിട്ടനില്‍ രൂപംകൊണ്ട അച്ചടിവിദ്യയും അതിന്‍റെ സഹായത്താല്‍ എതാണ്ട് രണ്ടുനൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൊണ്ട് വളര്‍ന്നുവന്ന മാധ്യമപ്രസ്ഥാനവും ഇന്ന് ലോകം മുഴുവന്‍ അടക്കിവാഴുന്ന അതിനിവേശമാധ്യമ സാമ്രാജ്യമായിമാറിയതിന്‍റെ കഥയാണ് ഇവിടെ വിവരിക്കുന്നത്. ഏതാണ്ട് രണ്ടുനൂറ്റണ്ട് മുമ്പുവരെ ലോകത്തിലെ മിക്കവാറും 99.9% മനുഷ്യരും ഒരു മാധ്യമത്തിന്‍റെയും സഹായമില്ലാതെ യുഗങ്ങളോളം ജീവിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ന് 99.9% മനുഷ്യന്‍റെ ജീവിത മാധ്യമമെന്ന് ബാഹ്യയാന്ത്രിക പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ അടിപ്പെട്ട് ഇവയില്ലാതെ ഒരടിപോലും മുമ്പോട്ടുപോകുവാന്‍ സാധിക്കാത്ത അവസ്ഥയില്‍ എത്തിനില്‍ക്കുന്നു. കൊളോനിയലിസത്തിന്‍റെ ആദ്യനാളുകളില്‍ അതിനെ ശത്രു ആയിട്ടോ അന്യായമായിട്ടോ അന്നുള്ളവര്‍ മനസ്സിലാക്കിയിരുന്നില്ല. പിന്നീട് അവര്‍ക്കത് ആവശ്യവും തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബാധ്യതയും ആയി വിമോചനസമരങ്ങളിലൂടെ അതിനെ തുരത്തി എന്നത് ചരിത്രം. ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് സാമ്രാജ്യം ബാക്കിവച്ചുപോയ അവരുടെ തന്നെ ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെڇനാലാതൂണായിڈനമ്മെ ബോദ്ധ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയ മാധ്യമം ഇന്ന് മാധ്യമാധിനിവേശം (ങലറശമ ഇീഹീിശമഹശാെ) എത്രകൊണ്ട് മനുഷ്യരാശിയെ കീഴ്പ്പെടുത്തി ശ്രസിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതിന്‍റെ ചിലപ്രകടമായ അടയാളങ്ങള്‍ ആണ്, ഈയിടെയായി യാദൃഛികമായി അതിന്‍റെ ചുരുള്‍ അഴിയുന്നതിലൂടെ പുറത്തുവന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. അവയേക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഏതാനും ചില വിലയിരുത്തലുകള്‍ താഴെ കൊടുക്കുന്നു: 21- നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലും സ്വന്തം സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളില്‍ പ്രവര്‍ത്തന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യമില്ലാതെ അടിമുടി കുത്തക ഭരണത്തില്‍ തുടരുന്ന ഒരു പ്രസ്ഥാനമാണ് ഇന്നത്തെ മുഖ്യധാരാ മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍. ലോകത്തിലെ 90% രാജ്യങ്ങളിലും ജനങ്ങളാല്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുന്ന സര്‍ക്കാരുകളേയും നേതാക്കډാരേയും മറ്റുപ്രസ്ഥാനങ്ങളേയും ഉണ്ടാക്കാനും ഇല്ലാതാക്കാനും കഴിവുള്ള മുഖ്യധാരാമാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ പക്ഷെ ജനങ്ങളാല്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നവയോ,ജനപ്രാതിനിധ്യത്തില്‍ നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവയോ അല്ല ഇതും ലാഭത്തിന്‍റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ മാത്രം നിലകൊള്ളുന്ന മറ്റൊരു വ്യാപാരസ്ഥാപനം മാത്രം. ഇന്‍ഡ്യാ അടക്കമുള്ള മൂന്നാംചേരി രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ പ്രാദേശികഭാഷകളിലടക്കമുള്ള മുഖ്യധാരാമാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ ആഗോളമാധ്യമ ഭീമډാരുടെ കൈവഴികളായി മാത്രം...

MODERN SCIENCE IS NO HOLY COW
One of the least noticed legacies of colonial rule is the lingering effect of colonialism and its methodology, namely modern reductionist science on modern human mind. A necessary adjunct to economic and political colonialism, this fatal lingering effect continues to play an important role in contemporary modern society. As the godfather of all systems, modern science was long been considered as the virtual holy cow which successfully thwarted all discussions, debate, let alone criticism or examination, of modern science itself. Even today, problems of science could only be discussed ‘SCIENTIFICALLY’, which is like saying that thieves can be identified only those who are more expert thieves. Why was science unable to detect the poisoning of our air, water, soil, food etc. when the poisoning was less than 5% or 10% and not like now when it has become more than 90%? It only proves the fallacy of modern scientific thinking. Science again has no qualm again to come out with solution like the top scientists advising mankind to fly to other planets like Mars, as a bid to escape the poisoning of earth and the life forms here. As friends on the Facebook, we all work on challenging problems, and will have to hang in there together when things get hard. I think we have to support each other to stay with an effort, even when it feels discouraging. Each one of us is like a hub of a wheel. Each one of us can build relationships and friendships around ourselves that provide us with the necessary strength to achieve community goals, we can solve problems that we have in common. Relationships are the glue that holds people together as they work on common problems. This is the relationship to common heritage of mankind that share their common concern. In this book, I am looking on all issues within, beyond and even outside civilizations and cultures. That is, this study also includes visions from outside the academia and by defying conventional, agreed-upon categories of the knowledge industry. As an ardent observer of the human story spanning a few million of years, I am trying to view human world and its present civilizations from a little far, as one from another generation, race or culture. Here, I see man in the collective. I have tried to not only scientifically know, but to intuitively feel that we are creatures of this Earth.
